Whisper
On-device subtitle generation after you download a model, with chunked processing of finite videos, caching and cancellation.
Local translation
EN → RU and RU → EN through CTranslate2 on your device. Optional cloud translation uses a compatible API and your own key.
Smart Sync
Estimates subtitle offsets and uniform timing drift from recognized speech.
Whisper and translation models are downloaded separately and are not bundled in the APK. Cloud translation sends text to the service you configure.

foss is the main build without the Google Cast SDK; it still includes DLNA. cast adds Google Cast. Both use the same package and replace each other.
Android 8.0 and newer
Universal APKs for arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64 and x86. Updating an installation signed with the same key keeps your data.
What it does not do
Codec, HDR and export support depend on your device. There is no universal transcoding for TV receivers and no live subtitle streaming. VAP provides no movies or servers.

VAP is free, has no ads and is MIT licensed. Download a signed APK, allow installation from your browser or file manager and open it. Requires Android 8.0 or newer.
VAP does not provide movies, servers or subscriptions to third-party services. OpenSubtitles search and cloud features need your own credentials.
